AOR-1 (Area of Responsibility 1) is a digital camouflage pattern primarily used by the United States Navy SEALs, but also used by some US Special Operations Forces. The design is intended for use in desert and arid environments and includes a mix of beige, tan, and brown tones in a pixelated pattern. The AOR-1 camo was first introduced in the early 2000s as part of a broader initiative to improve the effectiveness of military camouflage. It is designed to provide better concealment and help military personnel blend into the surrounding terrain, making it more difficult for enemy forces to detect and engage them. The AOR-1 pattern is currently used on a variety of military equipment and apparel, including uniforms, body armor, and packs.
